The Making of Star Wars – 1977 Documentary
Magic’s Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed – season 1, episode 5
Michu Meszaros was 33 inches small when he was alive, and he was called “The Smallest Man Alive” when he worked for the Ringling Brothers Circus. He eventually played the role of Alf, a small alien at the center of an 80s sitcom. They utilized him when they needed Alf in full-body mode, but a different actor was used for the voice. Michu was fired by NBC for telling people that he was the man inside the costume. He eventually died at the age of 76 after a stroke.

Hello!!!!

My name is Eddie Corona! And I am Gaud Rockefeller! It’s a pseudonym I created for myself in 2003 when I wrote my first novel, ZoToN. In the following years, I wrote a book every year until 2009. Chagrin, in 2005, disappeared on a crashed hard drive, but there was a tiny bit saved and I included it below.

The videos I included above illustrate anecdotes. I was big fan of Stephen King in high school, and I’ve read many of his novels. Stephen King wrote as Richard Bachman for a while. I read the Bachman Books, Misery, and The Regulators. At long last, it’s time to tell my own tale.

In some ways, I’ve already discussed this elsewhere, and I’ll include links inside buttons below. I remember sitting in a high school English class, though. The teacher explained that long, long ago, writers picked pseudonyms because they afraid of bringing shame to their families. I suppose, in a lot of ways, pornography actresses and actors do this for the same reason. Also, it’s fun. They choose cutesy names. Remember Dirk Diggler? He was a fictional porn actor in Boogie Nights, but I digress. Samuel Clemens wrote as Mark Twain in the 19th century. My teacher said that modern writers don’t have to worry about it as much because the stigma is gone.

Nah. The stigma is still there, but it depends on what you write about. My first novel, ZoToN, was juvenile in tone but it had clear adult themes. I found something out, though. I’m about to write a book of fiction. Why not start with the name itself? Why note make the author you’re writing as a character unto himself? Gaud Rockefeller was an older man than me. He had a backstory, and he wrote introductions to his books. He had friends who would contribute forewords as well. It was a whole scheme, and I made up satirized reviews for the books. I included open letters as well.

Is it too soon to be explaining this? It’s been more than twenty years! My friends and family all knew what I was doing. I’d give them copies of my books. Now that the internet is here, I can give millions of copies (in theory) without spending a dime! I’ve uploaded them and there are buttons below where you can read the PDFs.

There was a transition between my first book in 2003 and now. I started by self-printing my books at Kinkos. It was an expensive process, actually. Years later, I discovered Scribd. It was a nice site which hosted PDFs. I could share links, and at the beginning it was a perfect system for what I needed. Like everyone else, Scribd tried to monetize their site and it was harder to spread the word. Scribd would allow readers to view part of the document, but not all. You had to sign up, and they expected you to subscribe if you wanted all perks. Later, I discovered Lulu, a print-on-demand company. I loved that company! It made the product look professional. I handed out copies of my books, and it felt better than the wire-bound versions from Kinkos.

I was involved in a creative writing class in 1997 when I was attending Pitzer College. The teacher had an assignment for us. We would pick a noteworthy event our lives, then we would write about it from three different perspectives. We would have to pick our own perspective, but we would have to write first-person accounts from two other people involved in the same incident. There’s a movie, Wicker Park, that does a GREAT job of this in film. This helped shape my skills, though. I love writing from different perspectives! I like walking in other people’s shoes. I like to see the World through different colored glasses.

The 2000s was not enjoyable for me. It was tough. At the heading of this page, I simple wrote: kicked to the curb, and left for dead. That’s how I felt by family and society. There were a few who had my back, but it wasn’t the same as when I was younger. My mother passed away in 2002. That was tough for me. I was not a fan of George W Bush, and I believed our World was going to crap. “Gaud Rockefeller” as a name was a satire in itself. Though I enjoyed the writing process from 2003 until 2009, it became hard to re-read my books years later. I don’t know if I’d consider it trauma, but there were themes in the books I didn’t want to relive. In 2005, I took a business law class and I literally started a corporation. It was called Gaud Rockefeller Productions and Business Enterprises, Incorporated. I paid dues through the Company Corporation to the state of Delaware. I actually gave legit effort to making it work. I wrote bylaws, and my buddy wanted to be included as my JEO, meaning Junior Executive Officer. I turned ZoToN into a cartoon movie using the Sims. I sent my material to venture capitalists and Hollywood studios. I did a lot.

Now, Gaud Rockefeller is a joke to me. Like I said, I thoroghly enjoyed the writing process during those years, but it got old and tired. In 2013, I left behind Gaud Rockefeller and took on Brick Jayne as my new pseudonym for Thermite. It was more easy-going, and I believed my method became more polished. Either way, I’ve been meaning to share my Gaud Rockefeller story to a wider audience. It’s easier now that I’ve learned to develop my own websites. I just started Gaud Rockefeller as a member at Sheeple Gateway earlier tonight.

Today was Disclosure Day. The DOJ was supposed to release the Epstein Files, but they dragged their feet. They only released a portion, and they were heavily redacted. Also today, fringe scientists said 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object, was supposed to slam into Earth. Finally, the new Avatar movie hit theatres. In the spirit of Disclosure Day, I figured I’d tell my Gaud Rockefeller story, and I’d share the PDFs. You don’t have to go to Scribd any longer and be hassled about joining and paying for a membership. You can have it all here for free. They’re decent, here and there, but they get weird. I enjoy dystopias, and I tend to slant my stories in that direction.

Gaud Rockefeller and Brick Jayne weren’t my only pseudonyms. I wrote a couple of books for my niece as Dax Robinson. When I wrote ZoToN in 2003, it was too adult to give to her. She was only twelve. I wrote Dax Robinson stories which were suited for her age. The stories were shorter and used simpler vocabulary and themes. Because of my creative writing history, I enjoyed created characters beyond the realm of novels. The internet offers endless possibilities. My favorite is Homer Cocktail. I created that in 2008 to allow me to channel my music to YouTube. There have been others, but this should suffice for now. I hope you enjoy the Gaud Rockefeller books. They’re not for everyone! Have a great time out there!

Before I leave, I wanted to tie in the videos above. In fiction, we rely on suspension of belief to be effective. We can watch Star Wars and be hypnotized by the story. We’re pulled in, and we don’t question what we’re watching. However, we can later watch a documentary on how it was made using miniatures and special effects. When we watch the sequel, Empire Strikes Back, it doesn’t ruin it for us! We’re not wondering about the miniatures, for example! Good film makers can always zap you into suspension of belief no matter what. And I included an episode of Magic’s Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed. It’s not for everyone! Some people are dying to know how they do their tricks, and others would rather let the illusion exist on its own. They don’t want their bubble bursted. Lastly, I included a clip about the death of Michu Meszaros. It was only 33 inches high, and he was paid to walk around as Alf, and alien from an NBC sitcom. Michu decided to tell people that he was the guy in the costume, and he was promptly fired. NBC apparently wanted it to remain a mystery. Well, it’s been a couple of decades since I wrote as Gaud Rockefeller. I figured it’s the right time to talk. These are the secrets of what went into writing the books. Gaud Rockefeller will always live with me. ZoToN defines who I am as a person all these years later. The 2000s was rough for me. Writing as Gaud Rockefeller was one of the few bright spots I reflect on.
